Old Business: 
- Yesterday was the deadline for all livestock to be registered for county fair on 4-H Online

New Business: 
-Make sure you are getting your projects ready for fair, if you have any questions call Kathy or Jodi or even the Extension Office, they are all willing to help.
-ALL non livestock project judging day is Saturday July 13
-Photography mounting workshop - July 9 at the Extension Office

Meeting Minutes for Wednesday April 17, 2013

Old Business:
- Pancake Breakfast is this Saturday April 20 at the fairgrounds.  Our club has signed up to work the 8:00-9:30 A.M. shift.  Please wear your 4-H t-shirt.  
-Sheep Weigh-in is Saturday May 4 at the Fairgrounds.  If you are showing at state fair the scans will not be taken until 10:00 A.M.
-Deadline May 15 - for ALL livestock to be entered online
-T-shirts - there were only a few people that Jodi needed sizes from.  IF you did not get your size taken please contact Jodi or Kathy.  Additional polos and t-shirts will be available to order please talk to Jodi or Kathy if interested.  Order must be turned in by May 1.

New Business:
NEWSLETTER IS FULL OF DATES FOR FAIR PLEASE READ IT OVER CLOSELY.

Meeting Minutes for Wednesday March 20, 2013

Old Business:
-Skating Party will be Sunday March 24, 2013 at the Wellman Skating Center.  $4.00 to skate, Clover Kids skate from 1:00-1:30 and everyone skate will be from 1:30-3:30.  Bring your friends!
-Pancake Breakfast and Fundraiser will be April 20, 2013 from 7:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Next meeting we will have a sign up available to work the shift from 8:00-9:30A.M. and need at least 4 volunteers.
-Cattle show will be April 20.  This is a IJBBA show and begins at 11:00 A.M.

New Business:
-Swine Derby Weigh-in will be Saturday March 23 from 8:30-9:30 A.M. at the fairgrounds in the swine barn. 
-Dog Project will have a meeting Tuesday April 2 at 6:00 P.M. at the Extension Office. 
-Pet Project will also have a meeting on Wednesday April 3, 2013 at the Extension Office at 7:00 P.M.
-Sheep Weigh-in will be Saturday May 4 from 8:30-11:30 at the fairgrounds in the sheep barn.
-May 15 is the deadline for ALL livestock to be entered online.  Check back of agenda from instructions.
-Free T-shirt - need to have your shirt size by next meeting for the free 4-H t-shirt.  Polos and extra t-shirts will be sold.  Please bring money to next meeting if interested!

Talks were given by Nathan on how to make a homemade bridge, Travis about Washington FFA landlab, Ryan on how to fill out an NCAA bracket, and Lydia on how to give her dog a diabetic shot.

Meeting Minutes for Wednesday February 20, 2013

Old Business:
-Skating Party has been rescheduled for March 24.  Another Photography class is going to be offered on March 9.  Linda Drish will be leading this secession.  10:00-11:00 at the Extension Office.  FSQA training will be Saturday Feb. 23 at the Extension Office from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30.  If you are a JR member and are showing livestock you must attend.  If you have any questions contact the Extension Office at 653-4811.  

New Business:
-Bucket Bottle Calf Meeting will be Thursday Feb. 28.  County Fair 4-H Swine weigh-in (production barrow) and Single source commercial Swine Class due March 2.  4-H Farm Bureau scholarships are due March 1 (for seniors only.)  Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will be April 20 from 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.  Our club will sign up for shifts closer to time.  Region 15 Junior Camp will be June 18-20.  Intermediate Trip to Chicago 7th and 8th graders will be April 12 &13.  They are currently taking registration forms.  Dodgeball Tourney is March 10 from 1:00-3:00 at the High school.  We signed up for teams and a message reminder will be coming out to you closer to time.

Old Business:
-Skating Party will be January 27, 2013 at the Wellmen Skating Rink.  $4/person, 1:00-1:30 will be Clover Kids Skating and 1:30 to 3:30 will be ALL SKATE. Bring a friend and join the fun! Don't miss out!

New Business:
-Photography classes Feb. 9 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. (Kathy and Jodi will be leading)  and March 9 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. (Linda Drish will be leading)
-4-H Fire up Sunday February 10 from 2:00 - 4:00 at Extension Office.  You need to RSVP to Extension Office if you are planning on attending.  653-4811
-FSQA Training - Saturday Feb. 23 9:00 - 11:30 A.M. if you are showing livestock you MUST have training.  All JR. members need to attend. Intermediate and Seniors can test out.  If you aren't for sure call the Extension office and they will help you. 653-4811
-Beef Verification needs to be completed online by January 31, 2013 at 11:59 P.M.

*There was a sign up available for hosting a meeting.  If you would like a specific month and did not get signed up, please contact Kathy.

Old Business:

- Board to Decorate- We set up a Date it will be held June 13 at 7:00 and Luther Church
-50-50 Raffle is a $1.00/ticket.  Each family needs to sell at least ten if at all possible. 
-106 forms were Due May 15.

New Business:
-Record book information was handed out at the meeting.  If you need more information contact the Extension Office or visit their website www.extension.iastate.edu/washington/
-T-Shirts will be ready for next meeting.
-Summer Camps- PreK-5th grade registration due June 1
-Babysitting class will be offered again this year.  You must have completed 5th grade in order to attend.  Call extension office to reserve your spot. 654-4811

Talks were given by Colton about Chickens, Cole about Hereford Cows, Brayton about Soccer Equipment, Madison about being safe around horses, Kyle about Cows Stomachs, Jacob about Swine, and Spencer about frowning.

Meeting Minutes for Wednesday April 18, 2012

Old Business:

- Pancake Breakfast April 21, 2012 - Our club is helping with clean up.  Please wear your 4-H shirt and be there around 10 a.m.. We will be finished around 11:30ish.

-Region 15 Camp at Crooked Creek Christian Camp.  For grades 4th-6th.  The camp will be held June 5-7.  Registration is due by May 15 - $125.

-Region 15 trip to St. Louis. For intermediates.  It will be held June 12-13. It is $250. and registration and money is due April 30.

-106 Forms are due online by May 15.  Instruction sheets were handed out at the meeting.  This is for livestock projects only!  There will be two helping classes held on May 1 & 2 at the Extension Office for 4:30-6:30, if you need help getting registered.

-May 5-  Sheep weigh in.  Please be sure to bring birth dates for all ewe lambs, because they have to recorded.  Also from 8:30-10:00 is all county fair weigh in.  10-11 is state fair nominations.

New Business:

-Senior Members there is a 4-H youth conference, in Ames on June 26-28.  A $25 scholarship to first 10 registered.  Deadline for this trip is May 15.

-Boards to Decorate- All clubs in Washington County are responsible for decorating a board that shows what are club is like.  These boards will be placed around the fair and around the community to help promote 4-H.  Please be thinking of ideas for this.  We will need to have this project done by July 1.

-50/50 Raffle tickets have been changed a little for this year.  Each person is responsible for selling a packet of 10 tickets.  We will be getting these closer to fair.

-76 Progressives are doing a fundraiser to raise money for helping Benton and Jasper county replace their trees that they lost last year in the storms.  They have received money from Pioneer for the project.  They are asking all Washington County 4-H clubs to help donate money so they can purchase more trees.  Our club decided to give $75 to help with replacing the trees.

-4-Her's for 4-Her's, is continuing to raise money.  Our club decided to go ahead and donate the $2.50 per member.

-Free T-shirt. A bank in Washington has sponsored Washington County 4-H in providing all members one free t-shirt.  The sign up was at the meeting.  If you want to order more than one shirt, t-shirts are $8.00 and polos are $16.00.  The order and money need to be in on April 27. 

-Talks were given by Sarah Hora on Shoeing a horse, Ryan Friese about his Pomerian Puppy named Chewy, Addison Six on how to make Turtle Peacon Pie, and Allison Rebling about Walrus.

**Christmas Party- Kathy booked the meeting room at Pizza Ranch to have our Chirstmas Party and to have our December meeting.
